States insensitive to the Unruh effect in multi-level detectors

چکیده
We give a general treatment of the spontaneous excitation rates and the non-relativistic Lamb shift of constantly accelerated multi-level atoms as a model for multi-level detectors. Using a covariant formulation of the dipole coupling between the atom and the electromagnetic field we show that new Raman-like transitions can be induced by the acceleration. Under certain conditions these transitions can lead to stable ground and excited states which are not affected by the non inertial motion. The magnitude of the Unruh effect is not altered by multi-level effects. Both the spontaneous excitation rates and the Lamb shift are not within the range of measurability. Effects of Non-Ideal Pre-Distorter High Power Amplifiers in WCDMA Using Multi-User Detectors
Wide band code division multiple access (WCDMA) signals, transmitted by the base station high power amplifiers (HPAs), show high peak to average power ratios (PAPR), which results in nonlinear distortions. In this paper, using computer simulations effect of using a predistorted HPA on the symbol error rate (SER) of multi-user detectors in terms of output back-off (OBO) in the transmit power...

In this work, we generalize the entanglement of three-qbit Bosonic systems beyond the single-mode approximation when one of the observers is accelerated. For this purpose, we review the effects of acceleration on field modes and quantum states. The single-mode approximation and beyond the single-mode approximation methods are introduced. After this brief introduction, the main problem of this p...
متن کاملInformation propagation and entanglement generation between two Unruh-DeWitt detectors
The setup in which two quantum systems, Alice and Bob, communicate using bosonic field quanta can be viewed as a prototype for wireless quantum communication. In this thesis we focus on the most basic case, where Alice and Bob are modeled as Unruh-DeWitt detectors, i.e., as two-level quantum systems that interact locally through a scalar quantum field. Our aim is to study how information propag...
متن کاملUsing Berry's phase to detect the Unruh effect at lower accelerations.
We show that a detector acquires a Berry phase due to its motion in spacetime. The phase is different in the inertial and accelerated case as a direct consequence of the Unruh effect. We exploit this fact to design a novel method to measure the Unruh effect. Surprisingly, the effect is detectable for accelerations 10(9) times smaller than previous proposals sustained only for times of nanoseconds.
متن کاملA test of the circular Unruh effect using atomic electrons
We propose a test for the circular Unruh effect using certain atoms – fluorine and oxygen. For these atoms the centripetal acceleration of the outer shell electrons implies an effective Unruh temperature in the range 1000–2000 K. This range of Unruh temperatures is large enough to shift the expected occupancy of the lowest energy level and nearby energy levels. In effect the Unruh temperature c...
